The MET has been validated based on several real, extremely variable events since 1986. It has displayed its most important property in doing so: it is capable of making a reasonable prognosis in spite of uncertain, incomplete and inaccurate data.

On activating our new home page (online since December 2004), we have documented several current accidents according to the details available in the media on this homepage and recalculated them using the MET.

Please select one of the following accidents:

Accident Date
Ethylene oxide, Switzerland March 3th, 2006
Fuel depot fire near London, GB Dec 11th, 2005
Release of styrene in Cincinnati, USA     Aug 28th, 2005
Release of bromine in schools May 2005

We will also endeavour to document current accidents on this homepage in future.
